The VR Referral Network and partner sites operate on a commission fee basis - there are no fees for signing up and for receiving inquiries. Only when you have made a succesful booking from a referral do you need to pay the commission.
Either the Guest or the Owner would tell the system that the booking has been made and then the system will take care of tracking things.
The VR Referral Network is free for all to join. Properties in it are included in referral requests that match availability, size and proximity and nothing is payable until a Confirmed Booking has been made.
Your own properties do not show up in the matches - the system assumes that you would not be sending out a referral if you could fulfill the request yourself.
I am considering putting in an option to include your own properties for testing purposes.
There may be no properties matching the request criteria.
If this does not result in some matches then there is no-one in the network that matches the criteria with availability.
If matches are displayed and the Send button is not visible towards the top of the Matches box, then verify that the Email address for responses to be sent to is completed in the Request fields on the left. Without a valid email address this button is not shown.
Update/Add the email address, click the Search/Update button and the Send button should now appear. Click the button to send your email - you should get a confirmation of how many emails have been sent.
When on the Referrals page you'll see a summary of your active/inactive properties to the right of the page title, just under the menu bar. Mouse-over the summary to see a list of your properties and their status.
The VR Referral Network™ used to require that each property has a valid availability calendar but that is no longer true - however your property will not be included in any searches by date.
